Field of Ice

As often happens this time of year; heavy rains and warm temperatures can suddenly cause a river to rise and flood its banks. This river ice, once a frozen blanket covering the river, now has been left behind, abandoned and scattered about in this field at Hoyt, after the flood waters have receded.
