H is for Hot Air Balloon: ABC Wednesday Round #3

What a magnificent photo opportunity awaited me when I decided to attend the 23rd annual Atlantic International Balloon Fiesta last weekend at Sussex, NB. It was my first time attending and I have marked it on my calendar and hope to be in attendance again next September! For information on the balloons and balloonists just click on the Balloon Fiesta link.
The excitement started to rise as the balloons gradually filled and the crowd waited to see which one would be first to lift off the ground.

A couple of shape balloons, Jumping Jack and Mr. Peanut, were real favourites of the little ones in the crowd.

.
My appreciation and thanks to Mrs. Nesbitt's Place for hosting ABC Wednesday Round 3. To view more ABC Wednesday posts via Mr. Linky please click HERE. For viewing the new format of ABC Wednesday Round 3 where all posts can be seen in the same place, please click HERE.

I have never seen such a colourful collection of hot air balloons. It must be exciting to go up in the air by balloon. Good post.

Oh, these are fantastic photos, unusual, brightly colorful, and photographed to make patterns that are like the finest abstract art! You have definitely brightened my day!

Our hometown has a Balloon Fest every July 4th. My favorite part is the night before when they do the 'balloon glow.' When it's fully dark, they fire up the balloons but leave them tethered to the ground. You can go and walk between the glowing orbs. It's beautiful!

I love hot air balloons!

Was this at Devils Dyke? When we were in Sussex some time ago we saw many many hang-gliders going from there so it must be a local high spot.

This location is in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada. Sometimes our British ancestors brought along their place names as well as their families when they came to North America.

Oh, those are wonderful! I would love to go up in one sometime. I love their beautiful colors. We used to have a big balloon show around the 4th of July but I don't think they do it any more.
