C is for Canyons: ABC Wednesday Round #3

There are two majestic canyons located in the Red Deer River Valley near Drumheller, Alberta. One is called Horseshoe Canyon, named for its shape, and the other, Horse Thief Canyon, named for the horse stealing activities reputed to have taken place there. I'm not sure which these pictures are of but I think perhaps they may be one of each, Horseshoe Canyon being the one at the top.

Great photos and post. The canyon formations and strata look a lot like those in the Painted Desert in Arizona.

Our "C" is Here.
Come visit,
Troy and Martha

As Gary put it so well. Yes, Wednesdays find us travelling far and wide, from the comfort of our own homes. Great post.

This does appear to be another kind of a world. I lived in this area for a year, many years ago, and loved this different sort of landscape. Glad that many of you are enjoying the photos.
