What a beautiful idea. Both are lovely, but like most people, I'm sure, I prefer the summer. Those lupines are extraordinary. Your talent with the camera is also rather extraordinary.
Bobbi: Glad that you enjoy the pictures and thank you for your kind words. Several years ago I tied a ribbion around many of the pink/reddish lupines so I could gather their seed pods later... and they now grow beautifully in my own garden.
Sandpiper: Lupines have a way of doing that, taking over. We once lived on a hillside and so I gathered a bag of Lupine seed pods at my granmother's home and then threw on our hillside... they still grow there; in abundance! Glad you enjoyed the contrast in seasons.
The shuddering wind shook my house Forgetting to whisper in its summer voice It boisterously shouted; Jesting in its autumnal tones of summer's end!

Gallimaufry Gleanings
Perhaps of interest to some is a new blog which I have started. It is called Gallimaufry Gleanings and it will contain a hodgepodge of items and observations.

What a contrast! I love lupines. I had them in my garden in Charleston and they took over. My garden here gets ignored.
