I think we have similar habits :-) I have a couple of cameras and when I go for a fitness walk I always stuff the smaller one in my pocket... just in case!
I think you're right. I take a DSLR with a long lens and have a little Canon S2-IS that I keep around my neck at the same time. The little Canon has better color for sunrises and sets, and I use it if I'm too lazy to switch to a wide angle for a landscape.
The shuddering wind shook my house Forgetting to whisper in its summer voice It boisterously shouted; Jesting in its autumnal tones of summer's end!

Welcome to Varying Seasons
Varying Seasons features photos taken in the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Alberta. Also, from time to time, landscapes from other provinces may be featured as well.
Gallimaufry Gleanings
Perhaps of interest to some is a new blog which I have started. It is called Gallimaufry Gleanings and it will contain a hodgepodge of items and observations.

Nice shot of the sky. When I'm not driving, I always keep my camera on my lap...just in case! ;-)
